7 Reasons to Send a Real Greeting Card
Here's
7 reasons why people send ecards rather than a real greeting card and why email
sentiments is no guarantee of really connecting with another:
- They're averse or disinclined to work, activity,
or exertion. Some might say just plain lazy. Their excuse… “I was in a
hurry, and forgot to get you a real card.” What that really means is “I
didn’t take the time for you that I should have.”
- They're economically challenged. They’re
cheap. Their reasoning… “You're not worth a couple of dollars for a card,
a stamp and a sentiment.”
- Spam filters and other nasty little electronic
gremlins block many emails. Oh joy! “But, I sent you an ecard for your
birthday, you didn’t get it?”
- Ecards are remote and impersonal. Nothing says
“Your special to me” like a handwritten ecard. It just warms the heart
doesn’t it?
- You, the recipient must work for your “special
touching gift.” ‘Dear Bob, Simply visit our online ecard store to download
your ecard [number 898#$32Ch324n*!23] using pass code TRX46546b'.” Wow,
I’m in such anticipation of logging onto yet another online retail store
to be hammered yet again by promotional messages while trying to locate my
“special gift” just gives me such warm fuzzies. I’m sooooo cared for!
- Emails are momentary and passing. How many
ecards have you printed out using your costly ink? Some of us like to put
our cards on display to show friends how popular we are. Just try that
with an ecard!
- And lastly… Email is 'quick' and 'convenient'
for the sender – birthday, Christmas, holiday, thank you cards shouldn't
be... Take a moment a show someone you really care.
You can simply send us your birthday list, your
client appreciation roster, your ‘Hi, just wanted to be in touch…’ roll and
your cards will be in their hands in a matter of days.
